(More customer reviews)I have never worn jewelry, other than a watch, prior to getting married. When I first went looking for a ring I knew that I wasn't a traditional yellow gold person. I also thought that spending over a hundred bucks on a ring for me was ridiculous. All I wanted was a simple wedding band that did not jump out. My first instinct was to get a black titanium or tungsten ring because I thought they looked cool. The problem is that black rings only look good on dark tanned skin or pale white, definitely not in between (which I am). I also quickly realized that most titanium and Tungsten ring manufacturers are either infomercial companies or no names cashing in on the growing popularity of new age metals.
Artcarved is a company with a long history (one of the oldest american companies) and holds a lifetime defect and sizing warranty. This is important since tungsten cannot be sized. If you ever need to be resized, all you have to do is send it in to Artcarved(along with a $39.99 SH & processing fee) and they will send you a brand new ring. ALWAYS buy a tungsten ring from a name brand company!!!(Artcarved being the most well known).
I chose this ring because polished tungsten is highly resistant to scratching because tungsten is the hardest metal on the periodic chart. I also chose tungsten because unlike titanium, tungsten is brittle and will break if ever crushed by a heavy load. Titanium will instead bend and crush your finger.
This ring is very simple yet refined, and will stand up to the test of time. I am very satisfied with this ring and the comfort fit makes a difference. I am definitely happy to wear this ring for the rest of my life!
