(More customer reviews)When my fiance picked out this ring, I was a bit surprised. I had budgeted a lot more for his ring and was more than happy to pay less. I was even more surprised when it came to see how nice it looks. The Tungsten Carbide is really shiny and looks like a brand new white gold ring, but for a LOT less. Plus, it's a durable metal that won't look all scratched up and ugly within a few years. The carbon fiber inlay is really cool and adds a unique touch - totally fits my fiance's personality. And the ring itself is really light, so he likes the feeling of it on his hand. Shipping was a breeze and it was on my doorstep within about 2 days, despite a longer estimated time till delivery.
A couple of things they don't mention here that I found out, both from the manufacturer's website ([...]) and from speaking with them on the phone:
- This ring uses nickel instead of cobalt as the titanium binder, which is far better. Bottom line: no green fingers from cobalt. Because the nickel is mixed and inert, it doesn't cause problems like some steel and cheap jewelry.
- Titanium can pretty much NEVER be resized. So make SURE to be sized at a professional jeweler before purchasing.
- This company has a lifetime guarantee against scratching or breakage.All and all, I'm really happy with the ring, the price, and the look of it. Can't wait to see it on his hand every day!
