(More customer reviews)First a word about tungsten in general. It is beautiful, really--a slightly dark grey tinge, and polished to a mirror shine. If you look at a tungsten carbide ring next to gold or platinum, which I have done--well to be honest, my choice based on aesthetic value would be the tungsten. Add to that the fact that it is harder than either gold or platinum, and it cost so much less, and I think the only reason one would not consider it for a wedding band would be tradition.
But I'm not into tradition; I want something beautiful on my finger that I will feel good about wearing my whole life, and tungsten carbide just pleases me in every respect.
As for this ring--well, mine was not quite perfectly crafted. A close examination showed that the gold band was not placed perfectly in the middle, with the effect that one of the silvery sides is slightly smaller than the other. Apart from that, though, it is lovely. The fit, feel, and color make me very pleased, and delivery was fast. I'm sure that if I returned this ring and explained the problem, I would get another one, and I might do that. The bride-to-be got a similar ring in titanium because her finger was less than size 7,so we couldn't fit her. While her ring is beautiful, my preference is for the slightly darker tinge of the tungsten. Overall--I'm pleased, and I would recommend this merchant.
