(More customer reviews)My advice to anyone thinking about purchasing this setting is to carefully review the measurements. I purchased this setting from jewelry central. com for 999 and unfortunatelty I relied on the online photos which were accurate, but WERE zoomed in like 1000%. This ring is much smaller than pictured but all the more beautiful and sparkly.
I purchased a 3/4 ct center stone and it really adds that WOW FACTOR to the ring. I think I could have purchased a 1/2 ct center and had the same effect. The setting itself is more like a sea of diamonds. The visible portion of the ring is completely covered in diamonds. The white gold is hardly seen at all.
The halo setting makes the center diamond appear drastically larger. This ring has drawn a lot of attention and when people look at it up close, they tend to comment on how large the center stone appears, and that the ring appears to be made completely of diamonds .
I just ordered a matching 1/4 ct diamond band from overstock which has the same band width (2mm) as this setting. As soon as I receive the band, i will post pictures of both.
Also, I must add that this ring was purchased for my 10 yr anniversay to replace my original wedding set, and both rings were solid gold without any diamond accents. Although the diamond center was 1ct, in 10 years I never once received a compliment (that i can recall). With this new halo ring, I received 5 compliments the first day I wore it to work, and 13 by the end of the week. In the second week, I started putting my hand under the table so no one would notice.
I am very pleased with this ring. It makes a statement, is classy, and is an attention getter all without looking big and bulky.
