I was looking for a gold ring locally and the cheapest I could find in a comparable style to this one was 14K and was nearly $700. This one can be had here at amazon in 10K, 14K or 18K, and the 14K on here is still ridiculously cheaper than local. I opted for the 10K one not only for the expense factor but also the durability, as it is going to be harder. The only other rings locally I could find in this price range were all alternative metals, which can't be re-sized and have no warranty and have essentially 0 value after your purchase. Gold will always have value to it. FYI the ring is marked inside Benchmark who is a reputable manufacturer of gold jewelry.
