As for the durability, I can't really say much about that yet because all the ring has done is sit on my bedside table (the engagement to the boy has yet to happen). But it seems extremely sturdy, it's rather heavy and seems strong. I don't want to test it by throwing it against something, but I feel like it could handle it. As for appearance--both the metal and the red inlay were a bit darker than I expected. This is totally a plus, I think it makes it look way more distinguished and classy. Now to just hope that the boy/future fiance likes it as much as I do!
