(More customer reviews)I purchased this ring for my fiance. It is a pretty ring, however upon close inspection up close I'm not sure I care for the Celtic design...it seems to be PRINTED on. I thought it would be appear to be engraved! Upon reading other sellers' sites for this same ring on Amazon it is revealed that this ring is laser etched (I think because tungsten is such a hard metal compared to gold). I am a bit disappointed...my expectations were set very high since it is a potential wedding ring! If you're looking for a ring for any other occasion...it is very pretty.
I just don't like the appearance of the celtic design when I hold the ring about 6 inches from my face. The celtic pattern is very detailed (none of the pictures for any seller of this ring on amazon.com shows the celtic design upclose so it's hard to gauge from the picture exactly what to expect). Perhaps I prefer the 3D engraving that would be on a solid gold ring. I did not know what to expect with this tungsten ring. I chose to order his ring online since every jewelry store we've been to has a very limited selection of tungsten rings (and men's rings in general, lol).
I ordered this ring because my fiance wanted a tungsten ring for the hardness factor, he likes two tone gold and tungsten, he is Irish and enjoys celtic designs, and he is nerdy in a very cute and sweet way...he is an aerospace engineer and enjoys sci-fi and Lord of the Rings...this ring almost reminds me of the ring on Lord of the Rings. It should be a winning combonation, you'd think! I'm just not sure yet...
I will show him the ring this weekend and if he likes it a lot...it's a keeper. It's totally up to him...he'll probably love the fact that it's laser etched, lol. Will write another review then.
