I was not very happy about the ring he proposed to me with although it is a decent ring: 1ct center stone brilliant cut raised as if in a Lucida setting with 1/2 carat pave diamonds set into each side for a total of 2ct weight. The center stone is very clear and bright but yellowish in certain lights. The band is kind of thick and I couldn't find anything that suited it. Everything I tried on in stores was too small or too big and outshone the ring because of the rodium plating. He purchased the engagement ring from a pawn shop his friend owned-mostly the reason I was so upset. The engagement ring is outdated and used looking but I still get compliments on it here and there. Anyway, I was a little nervous about ordering something so costly online without ever having seen it in person and having it shipped to me. However, I trusted the other reviews of this supplier and was not disappointed.
This ring is exactly what I was looking for, encrusted on all sides for a glittery effect. It is not too shiny, very classy. The craftsmanship looks handmade. It's not machine cutter perfect but satisfactorily well done. The only stamp inside says US copyright. I really like the fact that it was handmade in the United States. It comes with a certified appraisal for insurance purposes putting the ring valued at $10,499.00. I do wish it was stamped with the carat weight and amount for the gold. That would be my only complaint but mabey its tucked away small on there somewhere I haven't seen yet. I have not had this ring appraised on my own yet-but I know a decent amount about diamonds and this ring looks like a real steal!-especially for an eternity band. Stores were asking as much for 1/3 the carat weight and only diamonds on the top of the band. I am very impressed and happy. It looks gorgeous and takes my engagement ring from nice to WOW!
