(More customer reviews)First off, I'm a guy and I don't know anything about jewelery. My girlfriend is obsessed with jewelery, and had been hinting at a promise ring for a while. I knew she liked silver more than gold (lucky me), and she wanted a ruby which is her birthstone. She also likes vintage, victorian, and more elaborate bands (not just your standard fare). I literally searched through thousands of ruby rings on the internet, and here on amazon, and finally stopped on this ring. I knew it was the right one, but was skeptical about buying jewelery on the internet.
I decided to just take a risk and buy this. I really wished there were more pics to view before purchasing, as I'm pretty sure these pics are the same, just photoshopped with different gemstones. Either way, I was nervous about purchasing it.
When it arrived and I saw it for the first time, I knew my girlfriend was going to love it. The ruby is the perfect color, not pink like some, and not too dark of red. The detail is so small, and amazing, and the high polish just makes the whole ring glisten. It's not a very large ring, but it's a good size, and is raised a bit off the finger (there should really be a side-profile picture).
I finally gave it to her, and she was extremely happy. Everyone she showed it to really liked it, including her mom. We had to get it resized (I was only off by a half size), but it was very inexpensive, and the jeweler even praised the quality of the stone. I'm very glad I chose this ring, and this has been a very positive experience.
